Following the crowd: Apostate Christianity

Nevertheless, the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, "No, but there shall be a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations, that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.1 Samuel 8:19,20 .
Holy Nation

God wanted Israel to be a special people, a Holy Nation different than the surrounding nations. To be a light among the nations and preached unto them the good news of the kingdom. Likewise we Christians are supposed to be so. We ought to be the light in a world deep in darkness. The speakers of  truth to a world in love with error.

For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. Deuteronomy 7:6

Samuel you are old

They said to him, "You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.1 Samuel 8:5.

The slide into apostasy always start when we start saying the message is old and is no longer relevant to the current generation. The question that is always asked is how do we appeal to the masses?
We then tell preachers who hold strictly to the Word of God that they are traditionalists and are not up to the times. The Bible call the message we preach the "everlasting gospel" for a reason. It does not need to change. Christianity is not about mass appeal , but life saving truths.  So how do  Christians  relate to the people around them and still be the people of God according to this thought process?

Be like the Nations

The response that has always been provided by a back sliding people is to be just like the nations around them. Israel did not like to be different and Christians today do not want to be different. Yes they may say that they want to be different than the cultures around them, in reality they are doing the opposite. Instead of leading the world, Christians are now following its precepts. The world has become our teacher and since the world preaches darkness, there is no question as to what we are learning. For example the world preaches equality of man and women in all things, which is really not about true equality but sameness (ignoring the different roles the sexes have). It is a satanic teaching at it's core. The church soon follow by bringing in women ordination, ignoring the fact that in the scripture only man can be priests. The world promotes homosexuality as progress and enlightenment and the church follow suits. They Christianize the arguments brought fourth by satanically inspired people in order to make it appealing .

Dead Fishes swim with the current

Dead fishes always swim with the current. Only a live fish swim against the current. Many Christians by following the world's philosophies have become dead spiritually and are just going to the current. It takes conviction and courage to go against the crowd (world), but Christians are afraid to preach truth against darkness, because in truth they don't want to be face the scorn that comes with being different.

Be ye separate

As Christians we are the called out ones. We are called by God to be different, to be his representatives on earth. We should not try to be like the nations, whether in customs, philosophies and way of life. Christianity should not be taken as a business that is seeking to appeal to customers' need; by doing surveys finding out what people want in order to give it to them. God has called us to be different so that his truth may be revealed to the world . The world is sinking deeper and deeper into darkness, its philosophies and ways lead to death. Let us therefore not follow them to destruction like dead fishes, but let us ask God for faith and courage to be a Holy nation that will not be afraid to reveal the world's works of darkness so that many may be saved .

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.1 Peter 2:9

The sanctuary in Heaven

Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them. 9 "According to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture. Exodus 25:8,9 God told Moses to build him a sanctuary according to the pattern that he sees. Does that mean God created a blue print for him or is it a pattern of something in heaven? Copy of the True Tabernacle The sanctuary that they built in the wilderness is a copy of the one that is in heaven. Yes there is a sanctuary in heaven. So if there is a sanctuary in heaven , does that mean there is a High Priest also? They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain." Hebrews 8:5

Is the United States a Christian nation?

Why calling the United states a Christian country is detrimental to Christianity.  The United states was clearly influenced by Christian principles; The pilgrims were escaping persecutions from Europe and while many of them practiced Christianity, they were still suffering persecution in Europe from state churches. The founding fathers, some being Christians, made sure to separate the church from the state. They well knew of the carnage that comes as a result of having a state religion. And so, the US became one of the rare countries without a state religion. Each person was left to follow the dictate of his own conscience.  When you call a country by a specific religion, people associate all of its behaviors with said religion. Note this example: Slavery was an institution in the United states; this would also mean that the brutality of slavery was accepted a Christian precept. Even the mistreatment of the Indians would have been considered a Christian precept. In fact,...

When God calls you. The fiery way to God

"Why is my life so hard? Why are these things happening to me? I pray to God for healing, but there is no healing. I pray for better finances, but no money is forthcoming. I am so tired of these struggles; I am on the verge of giving up. I might as well live life the way I want to and hope to die soon. Have these thoughts ever come to your mind? These are thoughts many will encounter as they ascend the mountain of God. For many of us, life began well. We had a great time in our youth; we believed in love, we believed the future was bright, and we felt whole as a person. But somewhere along the way, hardship showed up. An illness, a broken heart, the death of a loved one, or broken aspirations sent us into despair and grief. Suddenly, life became dark and hopeless. But then, we heard the voice of God. We heard someone preach, 'Come to Jesus and all will be well; come to Jesus and He will give you the desires of your heart.' So we came to Jesus, hoping that we were back on ...

Modern Man

Modern Man
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
