Be valiant for the truth

 


Our world is sinking deeper into spiritual darkness. Falsehood has grown strong in the land. People don't want to hear the truth anymore and I'm not only speaking about spiritual truth but any truth at all. People love lies and deceits, because lies and deceits make them feel better about themselves. The truth is hard to swallow, so people hate the truth and many stay far away from it. Many call those who speak the truth, haters. When you tell them the truth, they say you are spreading negativity.

And so it is in this climate of falsehood that God has called us to be a witness for the truth. To proclaim the truth boldly, to attack the lies and set the captives free. The Christian must be valiant for the truth. The Christian cannot be a coward, for the Christian is a servant of God, a soldier of the Most High 💂🏾‍♂️ and as such he must follow the orders of His Sovereign. And the order the Lord has given us is to go throughout all the world to spread the gospel of  Jesus Christ and make disciples.

The Christian must be brave for he must preach the truth to a world that love lies, righteousness to a world that love sin and wickedness. The Christian must be brave for he must be able to face scorn and ridicules while calling sin by it's right name. The Christian must not spare, he must not show partiality,  but must preach the truth of God wherever he is sent or to whomever he is sent. The Christian must be valiant for the truth.

The Christian must resist the temptation to be a people pleaser when it comes to the truth . He must resist the temptation to preach what people want to hear, but preach what the Lord has commanded him. The Christian must not be afraid of losing friends or people being offended by the preaching of the truth. The gospel is naturally offensive to those who are in darkness, to those who hate the truth. Preaching the truth will naturally separate many people from you, but preach it  you must as a faithful soldier of the Lord 


And finally in order to be valiant for the truth, the Christian must be a man or woman of prayer 🙏🏾. The Christian must be connected with God, the source of all strength. It is only after we have bowed before the eternal King we will have the boldness, the firmness to stand against men, against overwhelming storm of wickedness and falsehood in the land. In daily communion with God the true Christian receive wisdom on how to speak, what to say and receive the strength to go out as valiant warrior to fight the battles. The true Christian is mighty because he or she abides under the shadow of the Almighty. 

Be valiant for the Lord, spread the truth near and far

Is the United States a Christian nation?

 Why calling the United states a Christian country is detrimental to Christianity.  The United states was clearly influenced by Christian principles; The pilgrims were escaping persecutions from Europe and while many of them practiced Christianity, they were still suffering persecution in Europe from state churches. The founding fathers, some being Christians, made sure to separate the church from the state. They well knew of the carnage that comes as a result of having a state religion. And so, the US became one of the rare countries without a state religion. Each person was left to follow the dictate of his own conscience.  When you call a country by a specific religion, people associate all of its behaviors with said religion. Note this example: Slavery was an institution in the United states; this would also mean that the brutality of slavery was accepted a Christian precept. When God calls you. The fiery way to God

 "Why is my life so hard? Why are these things happening to me? I pray to God for healing, but there is no healing. I pray for better finances, but no money is forthcoming.
