In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. Genesis 4:3
Abel: I will bring a lamb as an offering for my sins, for this is what God had prescribed to my
father Adam and my mother Eve on the day they left Eden.
Cain: I will offer a fruit offering to God, God only cares about the worship and not the minute-detail.
Besides, animal sacrifice was for my father, I am not under that old covenant.
The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. Genesis 4:5
God: Why are you angry Cain? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be
accepted?
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, You are to labor six days and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. You must not do any work--you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates. For the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy. Exodus 4:8-11
Abel: I will honor the 7th day Sabbath because it is a command of God and he never changed it.
In that, Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath; he honored it and said it was made for man .
Cain: I will honor the first day of the week (Sunday), God only care about the worship and not the
minute-detail, plus Jesus was a Jew; that's why he kept it but I am not under that old covenant.
God: If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. John 14:15
If someone claims, "I know God," but doesn't obey God's commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.1 John 2:4
