Greater Abominations
And He said to me, "Yet you will see still greater abominations which they are committing." Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD, and I saw women sitting there, mourning the god Tammuz. Ezekiel 8:13,14 .
Easter, a festival that many Christians believe is celebrating the resurrection of Christ actually has nothing to do with the Savior. The mourning period for the Babylonian god Tammuz are the 40 days of Lent. These rituals are parts of the same pagan idolatrous worship that were plaguing ancient Israel. Catholics began the season with Lent, a forty-day period of abstinence and “mourning” leading up to Easter.

Easter Sunrise Service
He said to me, "Do you see this, son of man? You will see things that are even more detestable than this."Then he brought me into the inner courtyard of the LORD's Temple. At the entrance to the sanctuary, between the entry room and the bronze altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs to the sanctuary of the LORD. They were facing east, bowing low to the ground, worshiping the sun!Ezekiel 8:15,16
Notice that beloved these abominations are being done in the temple of God. According to the New testament, Christians are now the spiritual Temple of God. And we know according to the Bible there is nothing new under the sun, so the idolatrous practices that occurred in ancient Israel have return but under different name and pretexts.
Millions of professing Christians will rise a little early on Easter Sunday so they can participate in a local “sunrise service” that supposedly honor Jesus’ resurrection. Later that day, little children will hunt for beautifully-decorated Easter eggs, supposedly laid by the Easter bunny.
The verse above clearly refers to some sort of pagan sunrise service, in which they honor the sun more highly than God, to whom they contemptuously show their backsides.
Pagan Easter Bunny and Egg and the resurrection of Christ?
Ask yourself, what does bunnies and eggs have to do with the resurrection of Christ? Absolutely nothing! BUT....the bunny and eggs are symbols of fertility and goes all the way to pagan idolatrous
When church-goers are practicing things in their church buildings that are directly associated with paganism and witchcraft, and is well-received by the world, one has to go check their Bible to see if it is from God. Beloved, do not simply indulge into traditions or follow rituals because your pastor says so, but do it because it is from the Word of God.
Do not learn the way of the nations for their customs are delusions. Jeremiah 10:3
I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshiping what their hands have made. Jeremiah 1:16
The reason for Israel's rejections was persistent idolatry, always abandoning the true God and we should not think as Christians that we are any better. The bible says that Satan has gone out to deceive the nations. Easter celebrations is one of those deceptions. Beloved, if it's a religious holiday that is not in the Bible then it is simply not from God but is a deception from the wicked one.
Let us forsake the worship of pagan gods masquerading as Christ and return to the true God. Let us not continue in the path of wayward Israel.
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God. Matthew 15:8,9
