In this article we will go over the three stages of Babylon .
Tower of Babel
*The power that stands in opposition of the Word of God has its origin in the tower of Babel.
* Humanity was united in its rebellion against God.
* Sought to make a name for themselves
*God came to investigate the city and judgment was passed.
4And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.Genesis 11
Babylonian Empire
* The king built a golden image and commanded the whole world to worship
* The people had an ecumenical unity
Daniel 3:4Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,5That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:6And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.7Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Babylon the Great, the final empire
* As we have seen with the last two previous phases Babylon, there was always a search for unity against the word of God. So its no surprise in this last days there is call for global unity in the religious and political realms.
* It is in this context that the according to the Bible we are all to certain extent in Babylon. Whether it is through our lifestyles , our goals in life , many of the teachings we espouse. If anything in our life is contrary from the revealed Word of God ,then it is Babylonian influence.
* But the good news brothers and sisters is God is calling us out of Babylon, just like He called the children of Israel out of the Land of Egypt. For "Babylon is fallen "and we must hasten out before the arrivals of the "Kings of the East" (Revelation 16:12 ).
* The way we hasten out is by surrendering our lives to Christ through prayer, confessing all our sins and faults of character , so that daily we may become more and more like Christ .(Romans 8:29 )
Revelation 18 :1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.....4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
