Why doesn’t God show himself?

God does show himself, but he does it in different ways with different people.  First of all, God showed himself in the person of Jesus Christ long ago.  And even then when Jesus, who was God in flesh (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9), walked among people, many denied who he was.  So even though God showed himself in the person of Jesus, people wouldn't recognize who he was.

Second, and this is a bit subjective, he shows himself to Christians in ways that Christians understand.  Take, for example, how a particular Christian might have a problem with a particular sin and he has been praying about it, asking God to give him strength to resist.  Then, inexplicably he might encounter several people in a very short period of time who talk to him about that exact issue.  They may not know he has that issue, but they address it very specifically.  Is this from God?   Why wouldn't it be?  Why wouldn't God use such things as a way to reveal his work in the world?

Another way that God reveals himself to us is through the conviction of our heart.  Sometimes we might do something that is wrong, and the Lord will very clearly convict us.  We experience a certain and profound sense of anguish and guilt about our sin.  We then experience the need to confess our sins to God and/or the one against whom we have sinned.  Then, only after confession and repentance is the sensation of conviction relieved.  This is the work of God inside a person, and it is quite real.

So to conclude God always show himself to his children, he call them and they hear his voice.

Bill Gates Hates Cash. Sign of the Times?

The Better Than Cash Alliance, which was founded last September and is partially financed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, hosted a breakfast at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland

Top five reasons, according to the alliance:

Transparency: Less corruption and theft when payments can be easily tracked. In Afghanistan, U.S. aid agencies use it so workers aren’t so vulnerable to robbery.

Security: The money gets where it’s supposed to go.

Financial inclusion: Electronic payment is a way for unbanked people to establish a record of on-time payment of their bills. This can be an “on-ramp” for them to get other services, such as loans, speakers said.

Cost savings: Moving physical cash around is costlier than zipping electrons. Many poor people, however, still find it cheaper to use cash, because some cashless networks charge high fees.

Access to new markets: This benefit is mainly for providers of financial services.

Kenya is a role model for the developing world when it comes to cashless payment. Its M-Pesa network, launched in 2007, has agents “on every block,” says Neal Keny-Guyer, chief executive of Mercy Corps, a nonprofit that’s a member of the alliance. Mauricio Cárdenas, Colombia’s minister of finance and public credit, said in an interview that he hopes within the year the national legislature will pass a law allowing nonbanks to take in cash and issue electronic vouchers.

The key is ensuring that the people who take in the cash are as well-supervised as bank tellers. “We see this as a first step,” Cárdenas said.

Rise of Islam

The Bible predicted the rise of Islam and the information  is found in Revelation 9 verse 1 to 12.

Chapter 9 follow a pattern of judgment.It continues the messages of the seven trumpets. In chapter  9 we come to hear the fifth angel sounding his trumpet. In this article we will unveil this prophecy.

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

In Bible prophecy a star represent a leader , and a fallen one is an apostate leader. A key was given to this apostate leader, a key represent power and authority over which the key is given to open or close. The key that this leader had, was to open the bottomless pit.  The word "bottomless pit" comes from the Greek word "abbusos," where the word "abyss," derived and it means a desolate empty place and is like the Word "void" used in Genesis 1:2.  So this desolate place was the desert of Arabia and the apostate leader was Mohammed who founded the Islamic religion.He opened the bottomless pit and smoke came out.

       Great smoke darkened the sun and the air.

•          Sun give light . Jesus is the light of this world ( John 8:12;9:5) 
•          Christ is known as the Sun of Righteousness       ( Malachi 4:2)
•          God's word is light and truth.                              (John 17:17)

Darkness is the opposite of light, so if Christ is the Word, the Truth and the Life then  the darkness that darkened the sun and the air  are error/false teachings.  (Proverbs 4:19,Luke 11:34,John 3:19-21,1 Peter 2:9) . The smoke or false teaching that came out of the pit darkened the truth of Christ in regions under it's control.

A beast in prophecy is a symbol of a kingdom, and here we see a lot of locus/beast representing the different Arab tribes.

 Power as the scorpions of the earth have power

• Scorpions have their powers in their tail
• The ancient and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet that teaches lies,he is the tail (Isaiah 9:15)

So the power of the Arab hordes that came from the desert of  Arabia was the prophet that teaches lies (Mohammed the Prophet). When conditions are good hundreds of millions of locusts may hatch at the same time. After destroying the local food supply, they spread out eating up most of the green plant in their path, leaving devastation in their trail. By the time Mohammed died the entire Arabian Peninsula was under the rule of Islam.Over the next hundred years the Muslim hordes spread out like a swarm of locusts across the earth until the year 732 until they were defeated at the Battle of Tours in France, stopping the Islamic threat.

Money Basics

Money plays a central role in our lives, yet no one can be totally free of misconceptions about it.  This article deals with only a few basic ideas, but it should help to gain an overall understanding of what money is and how it works.

Two Kinds of Money

Money is a token that is widely accepted as a medium of exchange.  The token can be tangible like a coin or note, or intangible like a bank deposit.  If the token is convertible on demand into a valuable commodity like gold, the token is known as commodity money.  

The exchange value of commodity money varies, but is normally greater than its value as a commodity.  A precious metal coin is simply a token potentially convertible into the bullion that comprises it.

If the tokens are intrinsically worthless and inconvertible, the government must endow them with a special status to make them viable as money.  Such tokens are known as fiat money.  Except for collector’s items, all government-issued tokens today are fiat money.  One must therefore avoid thinking in terms of commodity money to understand modern money. 

In the era of commodity money, the issuer was constrained by the need to hold a sufficient supply of the underlying commodity.  There is no such constraint in the case of fiat money.  The value of fiat money therefore depends on the policies and actions of the issuer, normally the central bank of a country.

Why Worship On Sunday

The Scriptures tell us that the Sabbath is to be observed on the seventh day, which is Saturday. However, Protestants today worship on Sunday. How did this change of the Sabbath take place? Who is responsible? Does it even matter which day we worship on?

In the Ten Commandments, the Sabbath commandment emphasizes the authority of the lawgiver—God. A change in the Sabbath means a change in authority. When we choose another Sabbath, we give the authority to another entity. God is no longer the authority. Rather, the substitute—the counterfeit—grasps this position. Another god on earth has attempted to replace the true God.

The importance of the commandments

Ecclesiastes 12:13 ...'Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.'

Revelation 14:12 ...'Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.'

Revelation 22:14 ...'Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life.'

So Why Sunday

Daniel 7:24-25  24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

The Catholic Church,... by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday.

Wolves in Wool: An Urgent Warning to the Flock!

Have you ever got the sense that a pastor was compromising truth for popularity and power?

The apostle Paul warned us that, in the last days, false teachers would arise from within our very own ranks. He called 

them wolves, people who would teach a popular but perverted gospel in an attempt to gather disciples to themselves 

(Acts 20:29, 30).

Also, speaking of the last days, Jesus warned, “Take heed that no one deceives you. … Many false prophets will rise up 

and deceive many” (Matthew 24:4, 11 NKJV).

How do you spot a false prophet—a wolf in sheep’s clothing? In Matthew 7:16, Jesus said you would ultimately know 

them by their fruits. There is also another specific sure-fire indicator …

… do they teach that Jesus saves us from our sins or in our sins?

As Christians we have to be real cautious about our preachers, the bible should be our guide in our search for truth.

Being born gay is like being born into a race

This argument is being made by homosexual activists in order to convince societies that their immoral behavior is acceptable and should be an inherent right.

This is a common error made by those in the pro-homosexual movement. This error is  known as a category mistake.  A category mistake  is attributing the property of one thing to something else that does not have that property.  

Homosexuality is a behavior, an action.  It is not the same thing as a genetic condition like skin color, height, or gender. If we are to believe that people are born homosexual then we may also believe that pedophiles are born with their perverse  attraction and so are people who practice bestiality  Homosexual intercourse (and all other perversions)  is a behavior and is, therefore, something people choose to do.  Actions are what people choose to do - whether or not they have a tendency. On the contrary, being born in black or white  is not a choice and is not a behavior.
